It's one thing to be honest with oneself. Now extend that to all around you. Express yourself truthfully. By sharing this way, you release stress and worry. You are being more loving to yourself.
Imagine keeping a secret from people you are with regularly - your spouse, your children, your friends, co-workers, boss, etc. It's not easy. It requires energy and that drains you. Fill yourself with love by loving yourself. Stop draining the energy from yourself by hiding. Express yourself truthfully.
Not only will this be good for you, it will be better for those who interact with you. They will know just where they stand. How often have you been in disagreements or other uncomfortable situations because of mis-understandings? And how often have those mis-understandings been a result of information that someone is witholding? It happens all the time. Expressing yourself truthfully gets past all of that and opens the door to more loving relationships. As you love yourself more, you will be loved by more.
Imagine the problems in our world today that could be solved if people expressed themselves truthfully. More disease would be cured for example, if the pharmaceutical industry admitted openly that it only deals with symptoms - it does not cure anything. Likewise how much less pain and suffering would exist if self-proclaimed religious people would express themselves truthfully - stopped with the dogma (which invariably is someone else's interpretation) and were honest with themselves and others. Religions all preach love and appreciation in their own way. But they don't practice it. They make all sorts of rules and exclusions. They are not being honest and people get caught up in the dishonesty of it all.
Express yourself truthfully. Try it, you'll like it. It is very freeing for you personally and it opens up doors you might not expect.
Always speak your truth - to yourself and to those around you.
